Hi! I just listened to ‘Heart Lesson’ and it’s absolutely brilliant. If someone hasn’t heard it yet, how would you describe the track?

A: Honest. I pulled back the curtain on this one. I’ve written so many songs with other artists in mind or radio play in mind this one was just me telling my story along with a lot of people(s).

How would you say it compares to your previous releases?

A: I’d say it’s on brand with the songs a true listener loves. For me, this one’s about the lyrics and it’s one ya’ want to read along to.

Are you planning to make it part of a larger release, such as an EP or album?

A: Yes, “Heart Lesson is the title track to ‘Heart Lessons’ which is a 7-song project coming out in November… a November 3rd release to be exact.

I’m very interested in how you started your adventure with music, and did you know from the beginning that this is what you wanted to do?

A: I knew after my first gig I was gonna’ do this forever. That gig paid $20. But it changed my path and life. Your music seamlessly blends various styles and sounds.

If you had the opportunity to collaborate with anyone, who would you choose and what would be the reason behind your choice?

A: Right now, I’d say Jelly Roll. I love his comeback story and his humility. He seems like the type of guy I’d get along great with.

What is the best advice you have received as a musician?

A: Keep your overhead low until you can afford to grow. It’s a struggle.

Where are you based? Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

A: My basecamp is Nashville, TN, but split pretty evenly with Fort Worth, TX. Texas is so set up to play original music live and Nashville is set up to craft songs.

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs, and what have you got planned for 2024?

A: So much planned. I’ve got a big year coming up, first dropping the new project ‘Heart Lessons’ on November 3rd at my Texas Album Release Event at The Glass Cactus in Grapevine, TX.
